Let’s Get It Started

Rejoice! School is finally out and summer fun is right around the corner. As such, young drivers will soon take to the roads in increasing numbers. The DMV, in its ongoing pledge to ensure public safety, has developed a webpage for young drivers and their parents. We at DMV want to make sure young drivers are well informed of the rules of the road and driving laws.

To further showcase DMV’s commitment, the young drivers webpage not only highlights information specific to teens about vehicle registration and obtaining a driver license, but also provides invaluable resources on saving gas, locating summer jobs and even preparing for college.

For those who are planning to take the DMV written test, there are numerous practice tests and instructional YouTube videos found on the page to help you prepare. If you have a DMV related question, there is even an option to directly message the department through Facebook or Twitter – how cool is that?

For parents, there is information detailing their rights and responsibilities when having a young driver in the family, how to keep their children safe (both on the streets and at home) and how to raise a healthier generation. DMV strongly believes that keeping parents informed will help to continue fostering a generation of safe young drivers.

Summertime, here we come!
