Driving Change–Starting With You

ComputerFrom one college graduate to another, life post-grad is two words: Plain-Awesome! No more mountains of homework. No more cramming all night for exams with lots of java (though, there may be some JAVA at work). No more ramen for days on end, maybe? And, I am sure you’ve started looking for a job, too—I mean, how else will we #adult?

You have probably thought a lot about where you want to work and likely applied for hundreds of jobs at this point, but have you ever thought about working for DMV’s Information Systems Division (ISD)? Our ISD has various journey levels, such as Associate Program Systems Analyst, Associate Programmer Analyst, or Assistant Information Systems Analyst, just to name a few, so you will have plenty of opportunities to gain valuable skills and promote within. “We have seen many of our analysts work hard and move upward to high-level manager and supervisor positions,” said Shannon Walling, ISD’s Chief of Staff of Administrative Services. “It is very possible!”

As one of our analysts, you will have the chance to work with various personalities, design testing scenarios, and implement programs, among many other assignments. You will have the opportunity to work on many exciting, challenging, yet rewarding projects that the public utilizes every day. One project in particular, the Responsive Website Redesign, has involved dozens of determined individuals, and has completely reformatted DMV’s website for a more enjoyable browsing experience. Because of this redesign, our website’s screens change fluidly, no matter the smartphone, tablet, or desktop screen size, and has revolutionized how customers view our website.

“Here at DMV, we work collectively and collaboratively to take a project from an idea and manifest it to a living product,” ISD’s Deputy Director, Rico Rubiono said. “We would love to have your energy, insight, and vision towards the future as we continue to further innovate and optimize DMV’s operations to improve customer experience.”

Find the right job for you, take and pass the exam, and apply to work for us! We are hoping you will soon join our Information Systems team at DMV. We are rooting for you, and cannot wait to drive change with you.
